Bennie Lawrence

Leeonice (Bennie) Lawrence, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with his son, Pastor Dennis Lawrence officiating. The Lawrence family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bennie entered into this life on March 18, 1928 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Ellis and Greenville Lawrence. After high school, Bennie volunteered for service in the U.S. Navy and served on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific theater. He went on to work in a career as a grocery manager before retiring after many years. Additionally, Mr. Lawrence enjoyed competitive bowling and was featured on televised competitions several times in the Paducah area. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Lawrence of Clarksville; his son, Dennis Lawrence and his wife Lisa of Paducah, daughter, Sheila Lawrence of Nashville, and daughter by marriage, Angela Brymer of Clarksville; grandchildren, Robin Neblett, Shae Lawrence, Angel Lawrence, and Kidron Lawrence; and six great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the Salvation Army.
