Artie Monroe Rollen Tanner

Artie Monroe Rollen Tanner age 93 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Neal officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery. Masonic funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday morning at the funeral home.

Artie entered this life on May 26, 1931 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Carter Tanner and Bessie Gafford Tanner. Artie faithfully served his country in the United States Army and retired from Southern Gage after 39 years and 7 months of service. Artie was a proud 60-year member of Masonic Wisdom Lodge #300, and also held memberships in both the VFW and American Legion.

In addition to his parents, Artie was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Coakley Tanner; daughter, Rhonda Mitchum; siblings, Ewing Tanner, Willie Ray Tanner, Ruby Self, Lillie Self, Thelma Lewis, Leola Mathis, Guin Self, Faye Tomlinson, and Virgie Tanner.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Audrey Tuberville; son in law, Albert Mitchum; grandsons, Ty Tuberville, A.J. Mitchum, Wes Mitchum; great-grandchildren, Melanie Mitchum, Dustin Yazzi, Kristine Yazzi, Sky Yazzi; Kasen Yazzi; and siblings, Virgil Tanner, and Shirley (Charles) Hooper.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
