Anselma entered this life on April 17, 1929 in Laoag, Ilocos Norte (Philippines) to the late Lucio and Alejandra Miguel Mayor. She was the matriarch of her family. She immigrated from the Philippines to Hawaii, later to Los Angeles, CA, Sn Diego, CA and eventually Clarksville, TN. She was a loving mother and always took pride in providing for her family and anyone else who may have needed help. She and her husband always opened their door to anyone in need. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had unwavering faith and loved the Lord. Anselma  first worked as a teacher, later while in California she worked various jobs to include being a secretary, and seamstress. During her 94 years, she  touched the lives of many with her unwavering love and generosity. Anselma's legacy of compassion and care was evident in every aspect of her life. From her early days as a teacher to becoming a successful businesswoman in the field of Home Health Care, she devoted herself to helping others. Her kindness knew no bounds as she opened her heart and home to anyone in need. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Anselma found joy in simple pleasures like poetry, music, gardening, and cooking. Her green thumb was known for creating beautiful gardens filled with both vegetables and flowers. The melodies of birds brought her peace, and nature was her sanctuary where she enjoyed camping in her younger years. Anselma enjoyed collecting figurines and authentic Chinese furniture. She also found joy in traveling.

Family was paramount to Anselma. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her cherished children: Vilma Gloria Apostol Boyance, Vidal Apostol Jr. (Divina), and Virgil Mayor Apostol. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Taylor, Vance, Caitlin, Cyril, Christina, John, Mikayla, and Caylina; great-grandchildren: Noah, Luna, and Arao, and siblings, Proceso Mayor and Cristeta Pablo.
