Officer Andy Bechtold began his law enforcement career in 1971 at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, where he advanced to lieutenant. Since 1990, He’s served as a member of the Fatal Accident Crash Team and also served in several other capacities such as crossing guard, public information and overseeing wrecker and taxi companies. “When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a policeman and ride a motorcycle, and I got to do that,” Bechtold Said, “Prior to doing that I was a firefighter for three years. I enjoyed getting out there and helping people out and trying to keep it a safe community. Being able to do whatever for the public to help them is what makes me happy.” Bechtold said working with and meeting so many in the community during his 35 years of service has been a great blessing.
