Allen Carr Francis, 79, Clarksville, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Spring Meadows Nursing Home. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Skip Armistead officiating. Burial will be in Rye's Cemetery, Erin, TN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Masonic service will be held 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 28, 1928 in Stewart Co., TN son of Earl Francis and Jessie Gladys Carr Francis. Mr. Francis retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 38 years of service. He was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church, belonged to Masonic Lodge #89, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Al Menah Shriner and was in the Army, serving during the Korean War. Survivors inlude his wife Rose Parker Francis of Clarksville; sons Dale Francis of Erin, Danny Francis of Smyrna, and Jeff Francis of Pleasant View; and daughter Gina Teeter of Clarksville; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Parker Francis, Trevor Francis, Alan Francis, Ben Francis, Brandon Harrison, and Tom Gresham. Arrangements in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home (931)647-3371.
