Virginia Ruth Shelby, age 76 of Clarksville passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Her remains will be laid to rest at Dotsonville Church of Christ Cemetery.
Virginia entered this life on March 29, 1946, in Clarksville, TN to the late Bailey Thomas Jones and Willie Ann Rose Jones. She was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ, enjoyed gardening and her beloved dog, Dixie.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wayne Shelby, Sr.; sister, Dorothy Cramer; infant sister, Martha A. Jones, and granddaughter, Amanda Smithey.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine Smithey; brothers, Danny (Connie) Jones, and Keith Jones; granddaughter, Rebecca, great-grandchildren, Anthony, Autumn, Abigail, Addison, and Mariah. Virginia also leaves behind numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
