Thomas Slayden Herndon, 65, of Cunningham, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence.
Memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Martha’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Tommy Vallejos officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Tom was born on March 27, 1954 in Clarksville, TN to the late Thomas Eldon Herndon and Nancy Fowler Herndon. He enjoyed fellowship at The Tabernacle Church and was previously an elder for The Ark Inc. Church in Maryland. Tom enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the Ravens, Dallas, but most of all, The U.T Vols. He worked as an IT Director and was an RN at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Kay Herndon, who passed away shortly after birth.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Diane Fagin Herndon, and brother, Robert (LeeAnn) Herndon.
