SGT (Ret) Norberto Roman-Perez

Norberto Roman-Perez, age 47, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his home in Clarksville.

A Celebration of Life will be help at 12 noon on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Norberto entered this life on August 11, 1975, in Puerto Rico to parents, Franklin Roman and Carmen Perez. Prior to his retirement from the US Army, Norberto bravely served combat duty. He was a recipient of numerous awards and citations including the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

Norberto was also a faithful team member of Ganesh Hospitality for 14 years and served as General Manager with La Quinta Inn & Suites. He was recognized with the Wyndham’s Global Community Service Award. He was an active volunteer with veterans organizations like Memories of Honor, Team RWB and Team Semper Fi. Norberto was a parishioner and choir member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judi Roman Bucasas; sons Norberto Roman, Jr. and Alejandro Roman; his parents, Franklin Roman and Carmen Perez; and his siblings, Frankito Roman, Jr. and Mirian Roman; and enumerable friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maribel Roman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Memories of Honor or the Semper Fi Foundation in memory of Norberto Roman.
