We've loved this dear soft spoken, humble man for a lifetime. I first became acquainted with Roy when I was just a youngster and he was about 7 years older. He came to Old Fields, WV selling Bibles. I can remember my mom saying how she would open the door on many mornings and find young Roy asleep on the porch bench. Then she would bring him in and feed him breakfast, just like the rest of us kids. Roy spent time in the area and was instrumental in getting the church started. Our church is still going strong, because of wonderful faithful gospel preachers, like our Roy. We will never forget him and his wonderful smile.

He was the most Christian man I ever met. I loved and admired him. He said he could not wait to see his Jesus first and then Mary Ellen and now he has. God keep you.
