Joyce Dority

Joyce Anne Pressler Dority, age 81 of Clarksville passed away June 26, 2022, at her residence.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Madison Street United Methodist Church with Revs. Valarie James and Freddy T Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Joyce was born on October 28, 1940, in Montgomery County, TN to the late R.C (Monk) Pressler and Frances Smithfield Pressler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Howard Dority on March 30, 2022.
Joyce is survived by children, D. Howard Dority, Jr. and his wife, Peggy, Beth Dority Stanfill, and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Jessica Dority Etheredge (Adam), Katheryn E. Stanfill, Ashley Dority Moore (Matt), S. Mark Stanfill (Danielle), and Frances Anne Stanfill Handl (Gunner) and five great-grandchildren.
Joyce was a graduate of 1958 Clarksville High School and attended Memphis State University. She was very active in Madison Street United Methodist Church, her community, and adored her loving family. She was a homemaker, and worked alongside her husband, Don, as owners of Town & County Drugs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040, and Clarksville Junior Golf Tour, c/o Diana Samuels at 225 Richaven Rd, Clarksville, TN 37043.
Pallbearers will be S. Mark Stanfill, Gunner Handl, Adam Etheredge, Matt Moore, Bob Langford, Chris Pitts, and Bruce Walker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Gholson, Danny Cross, John Bucheit, Freddy Wyatt, Johnny Harris, and Price Hopson.
