Joy Jeanne Hembree, age 69, of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare.
Joy entered into this life on October 21, 1949 in Mattoon, IL daughter of the late Martin Daniel Smith, Jr., and Harriette Joy Kenton Smith. She enjoyed caring for handicapped children, and socializing. Joy especially loved time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Tony (Tonya) Hembree, Matthew D. Hembree, A.J. (Tina) Hembree; bonus parents, Charles Smith, and Betty Smith; siblings, Danny Smith, Arthur (Paula) Smith, Tony (Karin) Smith, Michael (Marcia) Smith, Patti (Bob) Gentry, Missy (Tony) Miller, and Stacey (Jeff) Tipps; grandchildren, Kim Wilson, Clarissa Hernandez, Jacqueline Hembree, Jozef Hembree, Alyssa Hembree, Aleasha Broome Hembree, Gavin Hembree, Kennedy Hembree, and Sydney Hembree; great-grandchildren, Autumn Wilson, Brodie Carter, and Hunter Carter, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in June of 2020, the Friday before the Smith Family reunion.
