Jean Woods Murphy, age 86, formerly of Dublin, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at her son's home in Clarksville.
Jean entered into this life on July 5, 1933 in Dublin, Georgia, daughter of Lewis D. Woods and Evelenia Knox Woods. She was a longtime member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and served her church and Lord as the church organist for 55 years. A gifted pianist, Jean got much happiness sharing her talent and knowledge by giving piano lessons for much of her life.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Randy Murphy and his wife Linda of Clarksville, Tennessee, Mike Murphy and his wife Lisa of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Kim Terrell and her husband Wes of Leesburg, Georgia. Jean was also the loving and proud grandmother of three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Dublin, Georgia. Memorials contributions are preferred to the Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 400 Woods Ave., Dublin, GA 31021.
