Frances Byrd, 86 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Betty Meriwether officiating. Burial will follow at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Mildred was born on May 4, 1929 in Palmyra, the daughter of the late Burney Ray Yarbrough and Hattie Hunt Yarbrough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Peck” Byrd, brother, Ray Yarbrough, and sisters, Louise Rives and Doris Beatty. She formerly worked at Acme Boot Company and is a member of Palmyra United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Mike (Ellen) Byrd; sister, Mary Bossert; grandchildren, Allison Byrd and Hunter Byrd; great-grandchild, Ava; many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Byrd, Chris Byrd, Geary Rives, Charles Yarbrough, Garrison Goostree, and Kenneth Rives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palmyra United Methodist Church.
