Estelle Austin

Estelle Walker Austin, age 96, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Bell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Estelle's family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home. Estelle was born on October 31, 1925 in Stewart County, daughter of the late Mertie Langford Walker and Drew Warden Walker. She was a member of the Pardue Free Will Baptist Church and had previously worked for and retired from K-Mart. Estelle loved her church family and cherished her children and grandchildren. She prayed over them daily. She enjoyed walking and took much pleasure in taking care of her plants and flowers.
In addition to her parents, Estelle was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Austin, granddaughter, Amanda Austin, and siblings, Betty Gaffin and Billy Walker.

Survivors include her son, G.W. "Gary" Austin and daughters, Donna Lawrence (Steve), Vickie Becker, and Kim Austin; grandchildren, Gillian Gallagher (Shawn), Grant Austin, Chad Lawrence (Kristin), Brittney Carsten (Jason), Dion Gold, Dallas Austin, Alexis Austin, and twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Green, Robbie Smith, Kathy Barger, and Dan Walker.
