Betty Harris

Betty Louise Harris, age 82, of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee passed away on Sunday February 21, 2016 at her residence. A celebration of her life will be 11am Saturday February 27, 2016 at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jesse Freeman and Rev. Stewart Salyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Friday and from 9am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knight Cemetery. Mrs. Betty was born December 9, 1933 in Mexico, KY. daughter of the late Milton and Mabel Travis York. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary Jane Rustin. She leaves behind her husband George Harris, sons Joey Estes “Cathy” and David Estes “Cathleen”, Mike Estes daughters Diane Kuzina “Michael” Connie McNally “Ted”, brothers James (Buddy) York “Gwen”, Larry York, and the Rev. Danny York “Elaine”, as well as four sisters, JoAnn Dalton, Jane Burton, Shirley Stalion “Buddy Ray”, ten Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was a member of Cumberland Valley Presbyterian Church and enjoyed country dancing and photography. Special thanks to Asara Care Hospice and Home Instead Healthcare.
Mrs. Harris is in the care of Nave Funeral Home. Serving as Pall Bearers will be David Estes, Joey Estes, Mike Estes, Dillion Estes, Wesley Estes and Jesse Estes. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Matthew Bueter. Donations can be made to Parkinson Foundation.
