Betty Mai Gibbs, 88, Clarksville, passed away January 14, 2016 at Gateway Medical Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Betty was born on August 29, 1927 in Caruthersville, MO, the daughter of the late Douglas and Robbie Nale Suiter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon "Bunt" Gibbs; son, Vernon Eddie Gibbs; daughters, Sandy Hanley and Shirley Gibbs; 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
She was a member of Excell Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sisters, Verne Winfree and Jean Strange; granddaughters, Melissa Barger and Melanie Woodall; great-grandchildren, Justin Gibbs, Steven Barger, Bradley Barger, Adam Woodall, and Jason Woodall; 1 great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
